My Story…

I’m taking on the broken hill to Sydney chase virtual run. For the run against violence, domestic and family violence. I’m taking on this 1,300km in 19 days. I will not be able to complete the full 1,300km. I’m going to clock in as many kms as possible in those 19 days. I have set my goal at 130km but will be stocked to clock up more. Why I am taking part in this challenge is a very personal one and close to my heart. Family violence and domestic violence isn’t just physical it’s so much more. I’m taking part in this challenge to raise awareness around family and domestic and help raise funds to support families and people going through it. Domestic and family violence can impact families in so many ways. The aftermath can be felt months and years that follow. Not just physical, mental, emotional, financial and social. I want to do my part in raising awareness for not only domestic violence but family violence as well.

Description

Help give young Australians access to healthy relationship education.

During the 2026 Broken Hill to Sydney Team Chase, 100% of donations made via registration and fundraising pages will go directly to NAPCAN, funding facilitator training, program adaptations, and the implementation of program delivery systems. Donations over $2 are 100% tax-deductible.

Run Against Violence has partnered with the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) to ensure that every Australian teenager has access to high-quality, respectful relationship education.

Love Bites is Australia’s premier program, and over the past six years, Run Against Violence has invested $565,000 in its national expansion. This is the largest investment by a non-government entity in the program's history. As a result of this investment, 1,068 program facilitators have been trained across 360 local government areas in Australia, with 60% located in regional, rural, and remote communities.
