My Story…
_"As an older female runner, I'm proud to be participating in this year's Run Against Violence. My personal journey has been marked by experiences of violence in past relationships, but I've found that running has given me a sense of empowerment and freedom. By running in this event, I'm not only challenging myself physically but also using my voice to raise awareness about the importance of ending family and intimate partner violence. I'm running for all the women and children who have been silenced, marginalized, and hurt, and for the ones who are still finding their strength.
I believe education is the way forward.
Let's run together towards a safer, more just future for everyone."

Love Bites is Australia’s premier program, and over the past five years, Run Against Violence has invested $500,000 in its national expansion. This is the largest investment by a non-government entity in the program's history. As a result of this investment, 1,068 program facilitators have been trained across 360 local government areas in Australia, with 70% located in regional, rural, and remote communities.
